AECOM Management Services Awarded $520 million contract to provide Operations and Maintenance Services to U.S. Army Depots

GERMANTOWN, MD (Jan. 2, 2020) — AECOM, the world’s premier infrastructure firm, today announced the award of a US$520 million task order under the TACOM Strategic Services Solutions contract to support maintenance, repair, overhaul, modification and upgrade of military vehicles and other equipment at the following U.S. Army locations: Red River Army Depot, Anniston Army Depot, Sierra Army Depot and Rock Island Arsenal. This task order consists of a base year and two one-year options.

“We are proud to continue supporting the U.S. Army and providing these essential services on critical platforms to multiple Depot installations across the country”, said John Vollmer, AECOM’s president of its Management Services group. “Our team continues to bring extensive experience and capability focused to ensure critical equipment is at its highest level of readiness to support the Army’s mission.”

AECOM will provide a wide range of services at each location to continue the U.S. Army’s organic industrial base initiatives and priorities.

“This significant program of work is another milestone in our efforts to provide maintenance services key to our U.S. Army customer,” says Dr. Karl Spinnenweber, AECOM’s senior vice president and general manager of its Mission Readiness business unit.

In October, AECOM announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement for the sale of its Management Services (MS) business to affiliates of American Securities LLC and Lindsay Goldberg for a purchase price of $2.405 billion. The sale transaction is expected to close in the first half of fiscal 2020.
