{"id":19941,"date":"2015-10-19T19:48:47","date_gmt":"2015-10-19T19:48:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/baltics\/projects\/e-470-toll-road-segment-iv\/"},"modified":"2018-06-06T02:16:38","modified_gmt":"2018-06-06T06:16:38","slug":"e-470-toll-road-segment-iv","status":"publish","type":"project","link":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/baltics\/projects\/e-470-toll-road-segment-iv\/","title":{"rendered":"E-470 Toll Road, Segment IV"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>AECOM\u00a0led a joint venture, MKK Constructors, on Segment IV of E-470 \u2013 the remaining 12.5-mile, four-lane, controlled-access toll road that skirts the northern edge of the Denver, Colorado, metropolitan area.<br \/>\nThe general roadway alignment of Segment IV traverses rolling high prairie terrain and farm ground irrigated by a series of canals and ditches. The roadway skirts several rural housing developments and crosses various streets, country roads, and the major transportation arteries of I-76, US 85, and the Union Pacific Railroad. Wetlands replacement was also included in the project scope. The project was completed five months early and $1.3 million under budget.<\/p>\n<p>AECOM\u00a0also performed the design-build contract for Segments II and III. Under a separate O&amp;M contract, we operated Segment I of the toll way from 1992 to 1997. With the completion of Segment IV, the entire toll way is in service from I-25 in the north, around the eastern edge of Denver, and back to I-25 in the south, providing motorists with improved access to fast-growing suburban areas and the Denver International Airport.
