{"id":20842,"date":"2015-08-27T14:29:45","date_gmt":"2015-08-27T14:29:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/baltics\/projects\/lawrence-hargrave-drive-link-alliance\/"},"modified":"2018-06-06T02:22:53","modified_gmt":"2018-06-06T06:22:53","slug":"lawrence-hargrave-drive-link-alliance","status":"publish","type":"project","link":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/baltics\/projects\/lawrence-hargrave-drive-link-alliance\/","title":{"rendered":"Lawrence Hargrave Drive Link Alliance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The New South Wales Roads and Traffic Authority selected the LHD Link Alliance to restore a section of coastal road located at the base of a 300-meter-high rock escarpment.<\/p>\n<p>The Alliance team delivered a cost-effective engineering solution and safely reconnected one of Australia\u2019s most scenic roadways.<\/p>\n<p>In the 6-month project development phase, the Alliance examined 26 options, ranging from pure geotechnical solutions to tunnels, avalanche type shelters and bridges. The preferred solution was determined based on a multi-criteria analysis, which considered issues such as budget restrictions, environmental approvals and long-term durability.<\/p>\n<p>We engaged the support of the community and other stakeholders to successfully complete an REF and confirm the preferred design and construction cost within a six month period and then commence with the detailed design and construction by June 2004. The full scope of works consists of a road upgrade of 994 meters, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The SeaCliff bridge with a total length of 665 meters<\/li>\n<li>A mudslide chute and catchment basin<\/li>\n<li>Significant rock face reshaping and stabilization works<\/li>\n<li>A new stretch of roadway at each end of the bridge<\/li>\n<li>A 120 meter long cantilevered structural widening of the road at the Northern end<\/li>\n<li>A three meter wide pedestrian walkway throughout the full length of the project<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"author":7,"featured_media":5009,"template":"","tags":[],"city":[],"class_list":["post-20842","project","type-project","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/baltics\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/project\/20842","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/baltics\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/project"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/baltics\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/project"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/baltics\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/7"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/baltics\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/project\/20842\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/baltics\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/5009"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/baltics\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=20842"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/baltics\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=20842"},{"taxonomy":"city","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/baltics\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/city?post=20842"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
