{"id":22393,"date":"2018-11-29T05:23:11","date_gmt":"2018-11-29T05:23:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/baltics\/projects\/karratha-gas-plant-life-extension-project-lpg-jetty\/"},"modified":"2018-11-29T00:34:45","modified_gmt":"2018-11-29T05:34:45","slug":"karratha-gas-plant-life-extension-project-lpg-jetty","status":"publish","type":"project","link":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/baltics\/projects\/karratha-gas-plant-life-extension-project-lpg-jetty\/","title":{"rendered":"Karratha Gas Plant Life Extension Project \u2014 LPG jetty"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In 2014, Woodside Energy Limited commissioned AECOM to undertake a study into the condition of the North West Shelf Joint Venture\u2019s liquid petroleum gas export jetty at the Karratha Gas Plant in Mermaid Sound, near Dampier, WA.<\/p>\n<p>Woodside follow a strict process, which includes Assess, Select, Develop and Execute phases. This eight-year programme of refurbishment, called the Karratha Life Extension, will see all assets refurbished to enable continued production to 2040.<\/p>\n<p>From the initial visual inspection, the Assess phase study report displayed the need for the refurbishment of the jetty and associated structural assets. High-level capital expenditure cost estimates were provided for the structural refurbishment works.<\/p>\n<p>The works also included specific studies into dolphin rope rail (a mooring guard) refurbishment\/replacement and inspecting and testing the jetty, scope of works and pricing schedules for the next stages.<\/p>\n<p>Following the completion of the Assess phase, AECOM was further engaged by Woodside in the Select and Develop stages to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Undertake studies such as catwalk analysis, refurbishment, replacement and determination of component utilisation<\/li>\n<li>Provide engineering technical\/supervision support during inspection and testing<\/li>\n<li>Review and analyse test results and an additional unmanned aerial vehicle photographic survey to determine the remaining service life of the jetty<\/li>\n<li>Provide recommendations on refurbishment requirements to maximise the jetty\u2019s remaining life<\/li>\n<li>Undertake a risk-based approach to minimise refurbishment work based on the remaining service life<\/li>\n<li>Produce detailed scopes of work for refurbishment and additional testing<\/li>\n<li>Produce a guideline document determining further inspection, testing, refurbishment, and strengthening requirements for selected components.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The works are currently pending the Execute phase.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":454,"featured_media":22395,"template":"","tags":[],"city":[],"class_list":["post-22393","project","type-project","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/baltics\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/project\/22393","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/baltics\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/project"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/baltics\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/project"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/baltics\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/454"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/baltics\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/project\/22393\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/baltics\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/22395"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/baltics\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=22393"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/baltics\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=22393"},{"taxonomy":"city","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/baltics\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/city?post=22393"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
