The program supports 100 cities globally in tackling issues of globalization, urbanization and climate change by developing a resilience strategy under the leadership of a chief resilience officer, whose salary is paid for two years by the program.<\/p>\n<p>100RC addresses a broad range of challenges: struggling economies, lagging transit systems, crime, food and water shortages, natural disaster, disease and terrorism.<\/p>\n<p>AECOM has assisted eight cities\u2014<a href=\"https:\/\/aecom.com\/blog\/tag\/cities#\/-_\/\" target=\"_blank\">Berkeley<\/a>, U.S.A., <a href=\"https:\/\/aecom.com\/blog\/tag\/cities#\/-_\/\" target=\"_blank\">Christchurch<\/a>, New Zealand, <a href=\"https:\/\/aecom.com\/blog\/tag\/cities#\/-_\/\" target=\"_blank\">Medell\u00edn<\/a>, Colombia, <a href=\"https:\/\/aecom.com\/blog\/tag\/cities#\/-_\/\" target=\"_blank\">Melbourne<\/a>, Australia, <a href=\"https:\/\/aecom.com\/blog\/tag\/cities#\/-_\/\" target=\"_blank\">Mexico City<\/a>, Mexico, <a href=\"https:\/\/aecom.com\/blog\/tag\/cities#\/-_\/\" target=\"_blank\">Oakland<\/a>, U.S.A., <a href=\"https:\/\/aecom.com\/blog\/tag\/cities#\/-_\/\" target=\"_blank\">Rotterdam<\/a>, the Netherlands, and <a href=\"https:\/\/aecom.com\/blog\/tag\/cities#\/-_\/\" target=\"_blank\">San Francisco<\/a>, U.S.A.\u2014that have already published their resilience strategies.
