Cynthia served as a senior advisor   to the U.S. Department of Commerce\u2019s Environmental Technologies Trade Advisory Committee (ETTAC)   where she chaired the subcommittee on Climate Change and Emerging Technologies. In this role, she helped draft recommendations to assist the Export-Import bank of the United States in expanding trade and services for U.S. companies providing environmental technologies to combat climate change. Cynthia also represents AECOM as a member of the board of directors for ARISE-US, the U.S. chapter of the UN\u2019s Private Sector Alliance for Disaster Resilient Reduction (UNDRR). In 2019, she served as a panelist during the UNDRR Global Platform\u2019s discussion on \u201cIntegrating Disaster Risk into Business Decisions,\u201d in which she showcased the cost-effective energy resiliency strategies AECOM implemented at San Diego International Airport.
