AECOM has supported the district over the past 60 years across various projects, including Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) upgrades, sitework improvements and deferred maintenance projects. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re honored to continue our relationship with Miami-Dade School District and share its commitment to providing the best facilities for students, teachers, and the community,\u201d said Bane Gaiser, chief executive of AECOM\u2019s U.S. East and Latin America region. \u201cWith our local knowledge, deep expertise in K-12 educational program management and long-standing relationship with Miami-Dade County, we\u2019re excited to work hand-in-hand with the district to implement this critical work.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under this five-year contract, AECOM will support the district in the oversight and coordination of design and construction throughout the project lifecycle. This includes managing the procurement of design and construction professionals, contractor prequalification, project scoping, and scheduling. Once completed, the improvements will address expanding facility capacity, enhance safety, and provide technology upgrades.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Equity, diversity, and inclusion (ED&amp;I) will be a core pillar of the project. These renovations are part of a capital improvement program (CIP) valued at over $900 million over the next five years.
