Chris Macey, P. Eng., is now a member of the North American Society for Trenchless Technology (NASTT) Hall of Fame. The enshrinement occurred at the organization’s annual No-Dig convention held this past March in 2019. Macey, AECOM’s technical practice leader for condition assessment and rehabilitation for the Americas, has been a member of NASTT since 1997.
Over the course of his 40-year career, Macey has developed large, sustainable programs for condition assessment and rehabilitation, facilitating the widespread deployment of trenchless technologies across North America and globally. His efforts encompass complex assessment and trenchless rehabilitation projects involving shallow ground tunneling and extensive use of an array of lining techniques.
Macey has presented or co-authored more than 140 papers since 1985. He co-authored the NASTT Cured-In-Place Pipe Good Practice Guidelines course and textbook and written and taught many courses on condition assessment, pipe design, and trenchless design and rehabilitation for NASTT and other professional associations throughout the U.S. and Canada.
“I’m honoured,” says Macey, who is based in our Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada office. “I’m passionate about engineering and have worked in the trenchless technology for my entire career. To be recognized by your peers in one of the most satisfying professions on earth is a very humbling experience.”
Created in 2010, NASTT’s Hall of Fame recognizes the achievements society members for their exceptional contributions to the trenchless industry.
