AECOM is the lead consultant for a highly-engineered, double-lined landfill in Hamilton, Ontario which accepts industrial wastes from the steel making industry. Since the early 1990s, our team was instrumental in managing the approvals, design and construction inspection work for this state-of-the-art site. The approvals stage included conducting intensive scientific and engineering baseline studies as well as extensive public and regulatory consultation, culminating in obtaining all necessary approvals without any regulatory hearings. AECOM also completed the detailed design for this facility, and continues to deliver expert construction inspection and contract administration services.
