AECOM provided electrical engineering services for this award-winning architectural design that houses Alberta’s newest dinosaur museum in Wembly, Alberta. Working with Architecture Atb and Teeple Architects, the unique structure posed some engineering challenges with respect to integrating the power and information technology requirements of a modern museum with the impressive exposed wooden and concrete structure that forms the backbone of this organic building.

The facility includes large display gallery areas, exposed paleontology working labs and support spaces, gift and food services facilities. It also includes an auditorium and instructional space, specifically intended for students to attend classes at the museum and learn all about Earth’s history and the ever-popular dinosaurs that we inherited this planet from.
