The Envision Energy Headquarters was designed for a green energy research and development firm focused on the design and production of wind turbines. The 3,000-square-meter building sits adjacent to the company\u2019s rotor assembly facility and serves a dual purpose: providing public exhibition and educational spaces to showcase the benefits of renewable energy, while also creating a collaborative and supportive workplace for employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The headquarters includes dining facilities, a sports and fitness center, and an employee \u201cspirit lounge\u201d designed to encourage collaboration and rejuvenation among the company\u2019s designers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Wind energy and its fluid movement inspired the building\u2019s form, exterior skin and interior atrium. A cantilever shelters the main entrance on the north side, while creating a roof terrace with expansive views on the south.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The metallic facade reinforces the concept of movement, flowing around a polished aluminum, airfoil-shaped volume, referred to as the \u201ceye,\u201d at the heart of the building.
