As the government tightens regulations on carbon emissions, AECOM\u2019s air quality specialists continue working to engineer cleaner industrial plants.    <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Deteriorating air quality due to human activities associated with urban development and industrialization can be mitigated if carefully managed. This requires advanced air quality monitoring systems and expertise to identify sources of emissions that can help industrial zones and environmentally-conscious cities realize cleaner operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of our core environmental competencies, air quality and pollution control specialists from AECOM\u2019s Environment team are executing an industrial air quality monitoring project for Linhai Special Industrial Park located in Kaohsiung City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The industrial park has an area of around 1,560 hectares and manufactures basic iron, steel and petrochemical products. It is a key pillar of Kaohsiung\u2019s industrial modernization. According to Taiwan\u2019s new regulations, industrial parks must now conduct long-term air quality monitoring.
