AECOM Hunt is serving as construction manager on the Purdue University Football Performance Complex, a 114,000-square-foot, three-story, football training complex. The project consists of an 11,600-square-foot locker room, office spaces, team development spaces, and practice field workout facilities for the football program and a 4,000-square-foot entrance lobby with an interactive display showcasing the Boilermakers’ history and traditions.

This new consolidated facility will combine what used to be housed in multiple buildings into a single structure with adjacent outdoor practice fields, reducing the amount of time needed to travel between spaces.

The training facility’s spacious, 20,900-square-foot weight training center will allow the entire team to work out simultaneously. Some additional highlights include a nutrition station, nine position meeting rooms, a 1,400-square-foot team lab, a 2,000-square-foot team meeting room, a 3,400-square-foot player development room, a 5,800-square-foot sports medicine and hydrotherapy area, and storage space.

The scope of the project includes earth retention, excavation, utilities, deep foundations, structural steel, concrete, roofing, curtainwall, metal panels, interior finishes, mechanical, plumbing, fire suppression, electrical, audio/video, landscaping/irrigation, hardscape and other related scopes of work.
