KUALA LUMPUR (July 11, 2019) — AECOM, a premier, fully integrated global infrastructure firm, today announced that Datuk Zainal Amanshah, is joining the company on July 11 as vice president for key accounts management in its Asia Pacific region.
“Datuk Zainal brings deep and distinguished leadership experience in strategically aligning key stakeholders across borders, industries, and both public and private sectors. His successful efforts enable investments and projects that sustain economies and communities as much as the companies themselves,” said Sean Chiao, AECOM’s Asia Pacific president. “Our Key Accounts Management Programme facilitates the effective collaboration and performance of our most relevant resources across multiple disciplines and markets while partnering with our clients to help them bring their great visions to life.”
Datuk Zainal joins AECOM having completed an eight-year tenure as CEO of InvestKL (Malaysia). During this time, the agency successfully attracted more than 80 large multinational corporations to set up regional hubs in Greater Kuala Lumpur and brought in a total of more than RM12 billion of committed and approved investments, which led to the creation of 12,000 regional jobs. In 2015, he was awarded the Federal Title of “Datuk” by his Royal Highness the King of Malaysia for service to the nation.
