AECOM brings together a global team of multidisciplinary experts to create a sustainable development framework for the new downtown development in Singapore.<\/p>\n<p>Commissioned by the Urban Redevelopment Authority, our professionals from landscape, masterplanning, environment, transportation and building engineering have collaborated to deliver a sustainable development framework for the planning and design of Marina Bay as well as the adjacent Greater Southern Waterfront (GSW).<\/p>\n<p>By using the Sustainable Systems Integration Model (SSIM\u2122), AECOM has implemented a systematic method to assess the sustainability performance of the whole area.<\/p>\n<p>Based on the findings, our team has provided design solutions relating to specific aspects of urban design and urban microclimate, landscape engineering, water management and sustainable transportation.<\/p>\n<p>The 890-acre (360-hectare) Marina Bay will be Singapore\u2019s key development area for the next decade and is designed to seamlessly extend the downtown district and further support the city-state\u2019s continuing growth as a major business and financial hub in Asia.
