AECOM\u00a0served as the prime consultant for the design of the Portland Mall segment, including the track and civil engineering components. The Portland Mall segment adds 2.5 miles of new track in downtown Portland, with a new connection point to the existing light rail system at the Steel Bridge. AECOM\u2019 design solution for the Steel Bridge track connection resulted in an overall cost savings of approximately $2 million.<\/p>\n<p class=\"editor-p\">The Portland Mall segment transforms an aging streetscape into a vibrant transit corridor with urban design amenities.
