{"id":19368,"date":"2018-10-10T23:40:26","date_gmt":"2018-10-10T23:40:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/pr\/projects\/coopers-gap-wind-farm\/"},"modified":"2018-10-10T19:51:09","modified_gmt":"2018-10-10T23:51:09","slug":"coopers-gap-wind-farm","status":"publish","type":"project","link":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/pr\/projects\/coopers-gap-wind-farm\/","title":{"rendered":"Coopers Gap Wind Farm"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Coopers Gap Wind Farm, located in the Western Downs region 250 kms north-west of Brisbane, is set to be one of Australia\u2019s largest wind farms upon completion in 2019, with an investment of AU$850 million. The wind farm will consist of 123 turbines with a capacity of 453 megawatts (MW) and in turn produce around 1,510,000 MW hours of renewable energy. This is enough to power to approximately 264,000 Australian homes.<\/p>\n<p>AECOM is working collaboratively with AGL and the broader project team to provide contract management to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All key project contracts<\/li>\n<li>Administer an Engineer, Procure and Construct (EPC) Contract<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the works under the Transmission Connection Agreement are completed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>AECOM\u2019s role has also included establishing a Graphic Information System (GIS) for capturing images remotely to illustrate the projects progress, ensuring up-to-date information is being communicated to all stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p>AECOM has also played an integral role in maintaining health, safety and environmental standards for the project, including on- and off-site audits.<\/p>\n<p>A critical component of the project management for this complex and multifaceted program has been to assist our project partners to develop a consistent and an appropriate process for: approvals; cultural heritage and ecological surveys; shipping and transportation of major turbine components; sequencing of turbine erection; registration with the Australian Energy Market Operator; and connection to the electricity network.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":21,"featured_media":19370,"template":"","tags":[484,491,492],"city":[],"class_list":["post-19368","project","type-project","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","tag-construction-services","tag-cs","tag-wind-farm"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/pr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/project\/19368","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/pr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/project"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/pr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/project"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/pr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/21"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/pr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/project\/19368\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/pr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/19370"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/pr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=19368"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/pr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=19368"},{"taxonomy":"city","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/pr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/city?post=19368"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
