{"id":20572,"date":"2019-12-16T13:36:35","date_gmt":"2019-12-16T13:36:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/pr\/projects\/visionary-master-plan-proposal-for-aree-falk\/"},"modified":"2021-06-09T04:50:35","modified_gmt":"2021-06-09T08:50:35","slug":"visionary-master-plan-proposal-for-aree-falk","status":"publish","type":"project","link":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/pr\/projects\/visionary-master-plan-proposal-for-aree-falk\/","title":{"rendered":"Visionary Master Plan proposal for Aree Falk"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"editor-emphasized\">Invited by Hines and Prelios, AECOM was requested to propose a \u201cvision\u201d for the 1.4 million square meters of land located on the area named \u201cEx Falck Area\u201d, previously occupied by the Falck\u2019s steel mills that shut down in 1995.<\/p>\n<p>Although the proposal was not selected, AECOM presented <strong>\u2018Sesto Bloom\u2019<\/strong>, a vision for a new district. The project was developed with a team of 15, inclusive of experts from infrastructure, transportation, energy, traffic, environmental and costs.<\/p>\n<p>The proposal entails a hub for emerging services and lifestyle, with residential areas, mixed-use services, attractive amenities, and a next-generation park. The consolidated urban core builds on the City of Health and Research as an economic driver but also establishes a clear identity for the full development area and improves the coherence and viability of Sesto San Giovanni overall.<\/p>\n<p>AECOM coordinated efforts from Milan, Madrid and London proposed a range of scenarios that adapt the existing baseline masterplan to increase the \u2018saleability\u2019 of proposed development. We did this by <strong>increasing real-estate value<\/strong> through strategic urban consolidation, and by <strong>reducing up-front costs<\/strong> for infrastructure and remediation.<\/p>\n<p>Our phasing strategy recognises the constraints of the existing boundaries, complexity of property relationships, and the timing of remediation works.\u00a0 More importantly, we aimed at creating a complete sense of \u2018place\u2019 with each phase \u2013 stand alone identities that will progressively complete the attraction of the whole.\u00a0 Our proposed masterplan complies with applicable urban\/regulatory restrictions (the ADP) and outperforms the existing masterplan across a wide range of economic, social, and environmental measurements.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-81952 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/aecom.com\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/project-11-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2360\" height=\"1328\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":22,"featured_media":20575,"template":"","tags":[],"city":[577],"class_list":["post-20572","project","type-project","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","city-milan"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/pr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/project\/20572","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/pr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/project"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/pr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/project"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/pr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/22"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/pr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/project\/20572\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":20573,"href":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/pr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/project\/20572\/revisions\/20573"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/pr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/20575"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/pr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=20572"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/pr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=20572"},{"taxonomy":"city","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/pr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/city?post=20572"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
