Shanghai (Apr. 29, 2022) — AECOM, the world’s trusted infrastructure consulting firm, announced today that Dr. Eric Zhang, a renowned industry veteran, has rejoined AECOM as senior vice president leading its Mainland China environmental, social and governance (ESG) practice, effective April 11.

Based in Beijing, Dr. Zhang will be responsible for establishing AECOM’s China ESG and Sustainability Research Center and driving the growth of ESG Advisory business in the region, leveraging AECOM’s global advisory and technical capabilities to develop and advance industry leading ESG services and offerings for local clients.
Dr. Zhang holds a doctorate in Economics from the University of Lille, France. He brings his unique research perspective and more than 25 years’ experience in urban and regional strategic development. On top of a strong track record in delivering a wide range of projects on regional development strategy, airport economic research, ecological and tourism planning, urban regeneration, resilient city plan, low carbon city and sustainable development, he is also an expert advisor to many local governments in Mainland China.
