AECOM 與合作夥伴Jackson Health System攜手交付1.7億美元的Christine E. Lynn康復中心

This project is one of several being managed by AECOM under the Jackson Health System’s $1.4-billion Miracle-Building Bond Program

Miami, FL (October 20, 2020) — AECOM, the world’s premier infrastructure consulting firm, today announced major project completion of the Christine E. Lynn Rehabilitation Center for the Miami Project to Cure Paralysis at UHealth/Jackson Memorial (Christine E. Lynn Rehabilitation Center). AECOM provided program management and staff augmentation services to design and construct this state-of-the-art comprehensive rehabilitation center with a project value of $170 million.

“AECOM is proud to have partnered with Jackson Heath System to bring The Christine E. Lynn Rehabilitation Center to life for Miami-Dade County,” said Juan Alfonso, AECOM’s Florida program and project management lead. “This facility was made possible through the Miracle-Building Bond Program and will serve as one of the country’s elite facilities for patients recovering from traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, cancer treatment and other complex conditions.”

This project is one of several being managed by AECOM under the Jackson Health System’s $1.4-billion Miracle-Building Bond Program, which is transforming the patient-centered Jackson Health System by modernizing all of its facilities to better meet the needs of Miami-Dade County residents and international patients who travel to Miami because of Jackson’s medical expertise.

AECOM’s responsibilities for the Christine E. Lynn Rehabilitation Center included selecting the construction manager and design team, project management and planning, process improvement consulting, dashboard and e-Builder support, construction coordination, risk analysis/mitigation, cost estimating, and working with local and state authorities through the approvals process.

Using an integrated project delivery process with lean construction practices, AECOM delivered the 250,000-square-foot facility featuring 72 inpatient beds and state-of-the-art offerings to help patients reintegrate to daily life, including an aquatic center, driving simulator, a rooftop terrace, mediation space, transition apartments, an activity garden and extensive public art installations.

“Physical medicine and rehabilitation care in the United States achieves a new high point with the opening of The Christine E. Lynn Rehabilitation Center,” said Carlos A. Migoya, president and chief executive officer of Jackson Health System. “This rehabilitation hospital combines world-class clinical care and the latest innovation and technology to improve lives. Every inch of this new facility was carefully planned and executed by a team that included Jackson’s facility, design and construction members, and our partners from AECOM. The results are extraordinary, as is the care provided within its walls.”
