On the 45th anniversary of the first Earth Day, AECOM has shared an illustrated vision for developing infrastructure that can address a variety of social, economic and ecological challenges to deliver broader benefits and value.

The presentation, titled Mission: Earth, explores how integrated thinking can create urban environments that attract people, promote economic opportunity and protect the natural world.

AECOM also released a statement in Business Roundtable’s 2015 Sustainability Report on how the company is fundamentally structured to bring together better ideas and innovative solutions to the difficult global challenges affecting human developments worldwide.

“We live in an age that demands action to protect the prospects of a healthy society and environment for future generations,” said Michael S. Burke, AECOM chairman and chief executive officer.  “At AECOM, sustainability is the foundation of our business, from the integrated approach we bring to projects to our efforts to build healthy, resilient cities to how we operate as a company.”
