The US$160-million project \u2014 which features eight gates, new ticketing and baggage claim areas, a new passenger security checkpoint and a state-of-the art baggage handling system \u2014 is Massport\u2019s newest terminal-improvement project at Logan. The terminal consolidates United Airlines\u2019 operations from Terminal C and Terminal A, initiated by the merger between Continental and United Airlines.<\/p>\n
Designed by AECOM, the terminal incorporates many features to enhance the passenger experience and convenience, including integrating flight and passenger information displays into concessions and passenger boarding areas; fitting all departure lounge seats with mobile device charging capabilities; and establishing special informal lounge seating areas that are equipped with functional workstations and comfortable seating.<\/p>\n
