AECOM announced today that the U.S. Department of Energy has added an additional year to the current River Corridor Closure contract held by the AECOM-led Washington Closure Hanford LLC joint venture.<\/p>\n
This $148-million extension will run from Sept. 30, 2015, to Sept. 30, 2016. Work will focus primarily on completing the trench work at the 618-10 \u201cburial ground\u201d and placing the Chemical Materials Engineering Laboratory (Building 324) in a maintenance status for future demolition.\u00a0 Operations at the Hanford Environmental Restoration Disposal Facility will also continue.<\/p>\n
