In 2009, the first year in which AECOM joined the list, our ranking was #458.<\/p>\n<p>AECOM is also highlighted in a special <i>Fortune<\/i> feature recognizing firms that recorded double-digit sales and profits growth in 2009. AECOM is the only company among its peer group included in the feature article.<\/p>\n<p><i>Fortune <\/i>cited the fact that we manage eight of the world\u2019s 18 largest infrastructure projects, including a US$50-billion program to improve housing, roads, bridges, water and utilities in Libya and New York City\u2019s much-anticipated Second Avenue Subway.&#160;<\/p>\n<p>AECOM\u2019s signature projects also include the Crossrail network in London, U.K. (currently Europe\u2019s largest construction project), the 1,000-acre Al Raha Beach Development in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and the Sutong Bridge in China.
