{"id":19963,"date":"2016-11-10T17:30:44","date_gmt":"2016-11-10T17:30:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/taiwan\/?post_type=press-release&#038;p=19963"},"modified":"2017-10-19T07:28:37","modified_gmt":"2017-10-19T11:28:37","slug":"john-eschenberg-appointed-director-salt-disposition-aecom-led-joint-venture-savannah-river-site","status":"publish","type":"press-release","link":"https:\/\/aecom.com\/tw\/press-releases\/john-eschenberg-appointed-director-salt-disposition-aecom-led-joint-venture-savannah-river-site\/","title":{"rendered":"John Eschenberg is appointed director of salt disposition at the AECOM-led joint venture at the Savannah River Site"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>25-year industry veteran to join Savannah River Remediation, LLC<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>LOS ANGELES (Nov. 10, 2016) \u2014 AECOM, a premier, fully integrated global infrastructure firm, announced today that John Eschenberg, experienced veteran of the nuclear and environmental industry, has been appointed director of salt disposition in the nuclear high level waste program with Savannah River Remediation, LLC.<\/p>\n<p>Savannah River Remediation, LLC is a limited liability company led by AECOM, Bechtel, BWXT, CH2M and AREVA.<\/p>\n<p>Following a 25-year career with the Department of Energy (DOE) and the private sector, Mr. Eschenberg most recently served as director of capital projects and infrastructure for PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Washington, D.C. In this role, he led the firm\u2019s overall project management advisory efforts for new nuclear plant construction, development of their operational readiness review program and the initial test program. His responsibilities also included advisory efforts on nuclear power plant decommissioning, financial due diligence, license transfer, dry fuel storage, and construction and management of independent spent fuel storage installations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJohn has a spectacular reputation in the industry,\u201d said Dr. Todd Wright, AECOM general manager and executive vice president of nuclear &amp; environment\u2019s business unit. \u201cHis leadership in the private sector and with the U.S. Department of Energy led to many successes in the DOE complex for both Environmental Management and the National Nuclear Security Administration. John will be a tremendous asset to our organization.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Eschenberg has previously held several key positions, including project director for the Uranium Processing facility for the National Nuclear Security Administration, DOE deputy manager and acting manager for the DOE Oak Ridge Field Office, DOE project manager for the Waste Treatment Plant at the Hanford site and DOE facility and field representative at the Los Alamos National Laboratory and the Savannah River Site.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About AECOM<\/strong><br \/>\nAECOM is built to deliver a better world.
