It is measured by its global rate of recordable incidents and lost work days, solutions we provided clients to solve safety challenges on their projects, recent awards and recognitions and stories of AECOM employees that celebrate their professional achievements and personal actions in stepping forward to save a life of someone at risk.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSafety is integral to our company\u2019s success and to our work in delivering integrated services and solutions that improve communities, protect the environment and change lives,\u201d said Michael S. Burke, AECOM\u2019s chairman and chief executive officer. \u201cOur clients and partners look to us for a single point of service to meet their infrastructure needs while achieving the highest level of safety performance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The report showcases our commitment to making safety part of everything we do \u2014 from the design and construction to the financing, operations and management of projects all over the world:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States, which won Engineering News-Record\u2019s 2016 Best of the Best Projects Awards for Excellence in Safety.<\/li>\n<li>The efforts of the AECOM-led Washington River Protection Solutions team, in Richland, Washington, United States, to eliminate heat-stress disorders by developing adapting wearable technology.<\/li>\n<li>The Northern Outfall Sewer Bridges project in London, England, where AECOM supported the work to repair 100-plus-year-old infrastructure, and helped earn the client\u2019s recognition for safety achievement.<\/li>\n<li>Reaching the milestone of 500,000 without a lost-time injury at the Gibela Manufacturing and Training Facility in Dunnottar, Guteng, South Africa, by building a shared commitment to safety.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cAs a company with diverse operations and project sites found in more than 150 countries, safety is an extraordinary undertaking.
