Situated at the corner of S. King Street and Occidental Avenue bordering Pioneer Square and the Chinatown/International District, south of downtown Seattle, Washington, Century Field (formerly Qwest Field & Events Center) is home to the National Football League’s (NFL) Seattle Seahawks and the Seattle Sounders Football Club (FC) of Major League Soccer.
Designed in association with LMN Architects, the stadium features:
- A total of 67,000 seats expandable to 72,000;
- 7,700 club seats expandable to 10,000;
- 72 upper level suites, with an additional 26 unbuilt suites; and
- An innovative end zone field level design for 12 “red zone” suites.
CenturyLink Field meets NFL and FIFA field size and sight line requirements.
The 720-foot roof span covers 70 percent of the seats and reflects noise back onto the field while still allowing for dramatic open views of the downtown skyline, the Puget Sound and snow-capped Mount Rainier.
CenturyLink Field has earned a reputation as one of the loudest stadiums in the NFL. It was, at one point in time, in the Guinness World Records for being the loudest stadium in the world.
