27 March 2017 – Nicola Blackwood MP for Oxford West and Abingdon and Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Public Health and Innovation in the Department of Health visited AECOM’s Oxford office last week to meet staff and find out more about the company’s local projects.
During the visit to AECOM’s offices, Nicola heard a series of talks from members of the local AECOM team about projects including the Masterplan for Oxford University Hospital’s NHS Foundation Trust and the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory’s Facilities Support Building. The office is a sector specialist in areas including healthcare, science, environment, education and residential.
Richard Tunstall, Regional Director, AECOM, said: “We were delighted to be able to host Nicola and show her a number of projects we are proud to be involved with in and around Oxford. AECOM has a strong record of partnering with Government on science and healthcare projects, both locally and globally. It was a great opportunity to showcase some of our healthcare projects in particular to Nicola and demonstrate how we help our clients create healing environments. We believe our role is to act as trusted advisors to our clients rather than just consultants – it is this approach that makes AECOM leaders in the healthcare industry.”
AECOM employs around 7,000 people in the UK.
