LOS ANGELES (Jan. 30, 2017) — AECOM, a premier, fully integrated global infrastructure firm, announced today that it was named Platinum Elite firm by ReNew Canada magazine for our involvement on 29 of this year’s “Top 100 Biggest Infrastructure Projects.” This is the 11th year that AECOM has been named to the list. AECOM was also a key player in four of Water Canada’s “The Big Six: Canada’s Top Water Projects” list.

Released annually, ReNew Canada’s “Top 100” report ranks Canada’s biggest infrastructure projects by dollar value. The 2017 report lists over CAD$161-billion (US$123-billion) in infrastructure investments nationwide.

AECOM enjoyed a strong showing on this year’s list, with 17 projects in Ontario, five in Quebec, three in Manitoba, two in Alberta, and one each in British Columbia and the Northwest Territories, for a total combined value of nearly CAD$61.5-billion (US$46.1-billion). The complete list of 2017’s “Top 100” projects is available on the ReNew Canada website.

Additionally, Water Canada magazine featured “The Big Six: Canada’s Top Water Projects” in their January/February issue. AECOM participates in four out of the six projects from this ranking: North End Sewage Treatment Plant Biological Nutrient Removal Upgrade in Winnipeg, Manitoba; Lionsgate Secondary Wastewater Treatment Plant in Vancouver, British Columbia; Bonnybrook Wastewater Treatment Plant D Expansion in Calgary, Alberta; and Hanlan Water project in Mississauga, Ontario.

“We are very proud of our contribution to building and maintaining infrastructure across Canada,” says Doug Allingham, executive vice president, Canada. “Our multi-disciplinary teams are delivering innovative solutions for multiple markets, and our involvement is clearly adding to the country’s economic and social development.”
