Under the contract, the joint venture will provide program management services for SFPUC’s US$7-billion Wastewater Enterprise Capital Improvement program for multiple projects throughout San Francisco. The scope includes program planning and administration, implementation, technical support, program controls, and pre-construction management and planning.
“AECOM is pleased to have the opportunity to support SFPUC in this important wastewater program, which will improve its existing infrastructure, and further our relationship with this key client,” said John M. Dionisio, AECOM president and chief executive officer.
SFPUC is reviewing latest technologies and cost effectively implementing best value systems for sustainable infrastructure and improved impact to the environment. When completed, the San Francisco Sewer System Improvement Program, which is part of the Wastewater Enterprise Capital Improvement program, will provide the community with a sewer system and treatment plants incorporating the latest technologies and “green” designs.
The program is slated for completion in 2026.
