LOS ANGELES (March 15, 2016) — AECOM, a premier, fully integrated global infrastructure firm, announced today that it has named Pete Holland chief operating officer of the Los Angeles metropolitan area for the firm’s design and consulting services group.

A 25-year veteran of the architecture/engineering/construction industry, Holland has an impressive track record of leading change, developing new markets and growing revenue.

Most recently, he was president and chief executive officer of Texas Sterling Construction, a heavy civil construction company where he was responsible for more than 1,000 employees and annual revenue of over US$300 million. Prior to this, Holland spent seven years as corporate executive vice president of a general building contractor, and 14 years at Parsons, as vice president and general manager of their Federal Infrastructure and Operations & Maintenance business lines. After graduation from the United States Air Force Academy, he served in various design-build assignments around the globe, eventually returning to the Air Force Academy as an associate professor of civil engineering, before leaving active duty for the private sector.
