AECOM announced today that it has been awarded a US$17-million program management contract in support of the estimated US$300-million International Arrivals Facility (IAF) program at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
AECOM will provide comprehensive program, project management and controls support services to assist with the IAF program which includes construction of a new Federal Inspection Services (FIS) arrivals facility, renovations of Concourse A and the South Satellite facility for a new international passenger corridor, and the construction of a bridge or tunnel from the South Satellite to the new FIS facility to be located adjacent to Concourse A.
“We are honored to play a role in the new IAF program, which will provide additional capacity for the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport to address the region’s increasing international passenger growth,” said AECOM Chairman and Chief Executive Officer John M. Dionisio. “This win also advances AECOM’s position as a leader in the aviation market in the Pacific Northwest, and we look forward to continuing to deliver innovative solutions along the Asia-to-Americas transportation network.”
The contract’s initial period of performance is expected to be five years, and construction is anticipated to be completed in 2018.
