Mr. Morris will direct strategic planning and technical services for our environment business.
LOS ANGELES (Sept. 24, 2015) — AECOM has announced the appointment of Dr. Mark Morris as senior vice president, director of strategic planning and technical services for its environment business. Dr. Morris will oversee AECOM’s strategic planning and technical service offerings focusing on global diversification, technical excellence and driving growth of global practices with private and public sector clients. He will be a member of the environment senior leadership executive committee.

Dr. Morris brings 30 years of environmental management experience and joins AECOM from CH2M, where he was senior vice president, global strategy and business development director for the environment and nuclear group. His tenure included executive business development and international operations management, with responsibilities around the world. His program management experience includes work in 17 countries, including head of environment and sustainability for the London 2012 Olympic Games. A strong technical leader, Dr. Morris holds a doctorate in civil engineering and master’s in environmental engineering from Virginia Tech.
As technical services director, Dr. Morris will drive technical excellence across AECOM’s comprehensive environmental practices to solve clients’ most challenging issues. He leads AECOM practice experts in air quality, environmental health and safety management consulting, impact assessment and permitting, remediation, water, natural resources and emerging technologies. He will oversee AECOM’s Technical Practice Network, a network of experts sharing best practices and collaborating to solve client technical challenges.
Dr. Morris succeeds SVP Dale Sands, who has taken on a new executive assignment focusing on business development and growth in metro regions around the world, leveraging AECOM’s extensive climate adaptation expertise with the UN, NGOs, as well as private industry firms.
