Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) has named AECOM its 2011 Supplier Diversity Leader of the Year.
The award recognizes AECOM’s role in supporting PG&E’s Supplier Diversity Program, which has helped provide economic opportunities to diverse suppliers since 1981.
A diverse supplier, as defined by PG&E, is 51 percent owned by a woman, minority or disabled veteran who manages and controls the firm’s day-to-day business operations.
“We are honored to receive this distinguished award for our on-going support of PG&E’s vision,” said Lucy M. Labruzzo, Deputy Managing Director of Energy, North America. “Helping create opportunities for diverse suppliers is an important part of our overall commitment to the client and also AECOM’s work in global community to make diversity and inclusion a business and leadership priority.”
AECOM’s range of services to PG&E includes engineering, procurement/expediting, construction/construction management, and start-up, commissioning and operator training for PG&E’s natural gas and gas facilities and infrastructure.
