The second Strategic Transport Projects Review (STPR2) will shape future transport investment in Scotland over the next 20 years. AECOM, in partnership with Jacobs, are undertaking the review focusing on transport priorities set out in Scotland’s National Transport Strategy 2, that will deliver real benefits for people, communities and businesses in Scotland.
The two-year review includes development of proposals for a sustainable, safe, inclusive and accessible transport system that plays its full part in responding to the Scottish Government’s target of net-zero emissions by 2045. It considers all transport modes including the strategic road and rail networks, as well as active travel, efficient movement of goods, island connectivity, ferries and buses. An extensive stakeholder engagement programme involving organisations from all parts of Scotland is also being completed.
Collaboration is an essential component as we look to drive forward the commitment given by the Scottish Government to ongoing and inclusive conversations about the future of Scotland’s transport system.
