AECOM, the world’s premier infrastructure consulting firm, has appointed two new senior directors to its global aviation team, strengthening its market-leading offer in Europe. James Bruce has joined as Director of Aviation Master Planning and Jose Monfa has been hired as Director of Aviation Architecture.
James brings over 16 years of experience in airport development, master planning and operational readiness to AECOM. Previously, he was a consultant supporting Manchester Airport Group (MAG) on the Stansted Transformation Programme. He has also worked on airport master planning projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, India, Africa and Eastern Europe.
Jose joins AECOM from Manchester Airport Group where he was Group Head of Architecture, leading on the architectural aspects of the transformation, capital delivery and corporate development programmes across the group. Previously at Grimshaw Architects, he was lead designer for major projects at Heathrow, Schiphol and Lima airports.
These latest appointments follow Jan Moeller, who joined AECOM earlier this year as Aviation Lead in Continental Europe, responsible for driving growth with aviation clients across the region. Prior to AECOM, Jan held leadership positions in commercial airport development at both Cologne Bonn Airport and Fraport. He brings a vast network and market knowledge of the airports and air logistics sector to the role.
Richard Gammon, Managing Director – Aviation, Europe, Middle East and Africa, AECOM, said: “These new appointments significantly strengthen our aviation offer as we seek to help our clients emerge from the pandemic with greater resilience, stability and long-term business growth. James, Jose and Jan bring to AECOM a wealth of diverse experience in the planning, design, delivery and operation of high-profile and complex aviation projects that will help solve our clients’ most significant challenges.”
James and Jose are based in the UK and Jan is based in Germany.
