James Barton takes on new role as AECOM looks to grow its cost management business in the capital
London (Nov. 3, 2022) – AECOM, the world’s trusted infrastructure consulting firm, today announced it has appointed James Barton as Head of Cost Management in London. James will be responsible for leading AECOM’s cost management business in the capital as it looks to expand its team to support its growing commercial business in the London and South East.
A Quantity Surveyor with more than 27 years’ experience in the London market, James previously held the role of cost management lead for residential and has been with AECOM since joining as a graduate. James’ experience includes a number of high profile schemes including Apple Park, Cupertino, Battersea Power Station, the Shard, and the Greenwich Peninsula regeneration, and he has worked with a broad range of clients including Ballymore, Sellar, Knight Dragon, Berkeley Homes and John Lewis Partnership.
James’ new role follows a number of recent hires to AECOM’s London-based cost management team, and the business is looking to expand the team further to meet the growing demand for its specialist expertise from clients in the London commercial sector.
