The new office opening was attended by the Mayor of the West of England, Helen Godwin, and reaffirms AECOM’s commitment to the South West region.
BRISTOL (Sept. 12, 2025) — AECOM, the trusted global infrastructure leader, yesterday had its new office at 3 Rivergate, Redcliffe, Bristol, officially opened by the Mayor of the West of England, Helen Godwin. Situated in the heart of the city next to Temple Meads, the move reaffirms AECOM’s commitment to sustainable growth in the region.
The new workspace boasts a fully fit-for-the-future, modernised design, offering diverse spaces to foster collaboration across teams. It provides a hub for over 350 AECOM employees across a range of planning, design, construction and environmental disciplines, including more than 50 graduates and apprentices. The company’s teams in Bristol support a wide range of clients in the South West, including the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority, local councils, the Environment Agency, Wessex Water, Network Rail, University of Bristol, Babcock, and a number of renewable energy developers. Alongside its work in the region, AECOM’s Bristol teams also contribute to national and global projects.
“We are excited to share this move, highlighting our ongoing commitment to the South West of England and to Bristol, where AECOM has operated in one form or another for over thirty years,” said Richard Whitehead, chief executive of AECOM’s Europe & India region. “The city has been AECOM’s hub for many crucial projects and relationships over the years, and I am delighted to be here today with Mayor Godwin to officially open this new space. I look forward to many more visits to our incredible local team, who continue to support our clients in delivering projects that drive economic growth and lasting impact across the region.”
Helen Godwin, the Mayor of the West of England, said: “It’s been brilliant to see AECOM’s new office and to hear more about their work across the West – including supporting our work with North Somerset Council and other partners to reopen the railway line between Bristol and Portishead. That AECOM employs more than 50 apprentices and graduates is cause for real celebration, creating opportunities for young people from our region to help shape our region.”
AECOM has supported a number of major projects in the West of England and the wider South West in recent years, including the Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus for Bristol University, the MetroWest (Portishead Line) Full Business Case, the WECA Future Transport Zone, and Keynsham Recycling Hub. The firm also provides sustainability strategy development and net zero implementation support for the Environment Agency.
