In an effort to cover the increasing demand for dynamometer testing of production cars and prototypes, Adam Opel AG devised a master plan for its test centre in Dudenhofen.
Phase 1 consists of a regulatory building with two regular test chambers and soak area, as well as a third test chamber with soak boxes inside of a climate chamber. Adjacent to it, a workshop building with several workshop units and a vehicle preparation area create the supporting backbone for this highly technical building.
Planning of the open office area fit-out above the workshop building began during construction and was implemented in parallel with the rest of the ongoing work.
Plans for Phase 2 are already under way and will add a fourth test chamber inside of an altitude and climate chamber. Seven more test chambers may follow in subsequent phases.
