AECOM Mexico developed a Soil and Groundwater Investigation, Risk Analysis and a Preliminary Remediation Plan for a site dedicated to the production of iron and steel pieces located in Mexico. The site has been in operation for more than 30 years and was impacted by arsenic generated in a neighboring plant.
AECOM performed the following activities:
- A Phase I Environmental Site Assessment;
- A preliminary soil and groundwater investigation using federal and U.S. EPA standards; and
- A Risk Assessment was prepared to evaluate potential off-site and on-site health concerns associated with the presence of organic and inorganic substances detected in soil and groundwater at the site; and
- A Preliminary Remediation Plan.
