We started the supervision of the construction works on the Lugoj bypass in March 2008. The scope of the project is to construct a bypass to the national roads in the Lugoj area of Romania to eliminate bottlenecks along the corridor IV.
The national road is being constructed to international standards and eventually will become part of the fully developed TEN-T Corridor IV in Romania.
The project includes:
- New road of 9,6 kilometres length with a section of 12.0 metres width with 7 metres of carriageway and 2×2 metres shoulders;
- Bridge over Timis River at kilometre 0+920 with a total length of 100.10 metres;
- An overpass crossing the NR68A at km 3+421 with a total length of 185.00 metres;
- An overpass over the railway Ilia-Lugoj and the existing national road no. 6 at kilometre 8+578 with a total length of 299.08 metres
