Tainan Train Station was built in 1900 to connect Tainan with the rest of Taiwan. Over time, traffic congestion caused by the roundabout design and the lack of pedestrian walkways have inconvenienced local residents. AECOM is leading a renovation project to address these issues and improve the station’s image as the gateway to the city.
AECOM emphasizes green infrastructure and sustainable design. We combine our transportation and landscape expertise to simultaneously enhance public transit and urban resilience. Our goal is to create a plaza that balances the needs of transportation and urban living, combines aesthetics and functionality, while reflecting the neighborhood’s values of diversity and inclusivity.
