GERMANTOWN, Md. (July 18, 2018) — AECOM, a premier, fully integrated global infrastructure firm, announced today that it has been awarded one of six indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ), multiple award services contracts by the United States Defense Threat Reduction Agency to provide support for the United States Cooperative Threat Reduction program. The mission of the program is to partner with countries to reduce the threat from weapons of mass destruction and related materials, technologies, facilities and expertise. Under the new contract, AECOM will provide training, architectural, engineering, facilities maintenance, program management and sustainment and acquisition management support, as specified in individual future task orders to be issued through the IDIQ contract.

“We are pleased to have been selected for this work, which allows us to continue our 20+ year history of supporting the U.S. Cooperative Threat Reduction program,” said John C. Vollmer, president of AECOM’s Management Services group. “This award highlights AECOM’s experience and expertise in supporting the Defense Threat Reduction Agency’s important mission of making our world a safer place.”

The maximum dollar ceiling including the five-year base period of performance and extension options for all six contracts combined is US$970,000,000. The IDIQ contract was awarded through AECOM’s URS Federal Services International, Inc. subsidiary, which will perform work at various locations globally. Performance on task orders issued under the IDIQ may continue for three years past the last ordering date of the IDIQ contracts. Funding will be obligated for each task order and no funds are obligated on the basic IDIQ contracts.
