All 298 units will be designated as affordable housing
Tishman Construction, an AECOM company, announced today that it has been selected to provide construction management services for Greenland Forest City Partners’ 535 Carlton Avenue. This 18-story residential tower is part of the Pacific Park Brooklyn development. Greenland Forest City Partners, a joint venture between Forest City Ratner Companies a subsidiary of Forest City Enterprises, Inc., and Greenland USA, a subsidiary of Shanghai-based Greenland Group Co., is developing the 22-acre development.
“We are proud to be working with Greenland Forest City to build 535 Carlton Avenue, bringing additional affordable housing units to this vibrant community,” said Jay Badame, president and COO of Tishman Construction in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. “Brooklyn is undergoing a tremendous revitalization that started with the new Barclays Center, and Pacific Park will continue this exciting transformation.”
“535 Carlton is an extraordinary building that will provide much needed affordable housing to a wide-range of New Yorkers,” said Bob Sanna, executive vice president and director of construction & design development for Forest City Ratner Companies. “We are very pleased to have Tishman Construction on board as our construction management partner. They have a record of excellence that we believe will contribute greatly to the completion of this building.”
In a prime location on Carlton Avenue at the corner of Dean Street, 535 Carlton Avenue is part of the 22-acre Pacific Park development. It will provide 298 of Pacific Park’s planned 2,250 affordable housing units. COOKFOX Architects designed the 292,000-square foot building to complement the unique character and aesthetic of the surrounding Prospect Heights neighborhood.
535 Carlton Avenue broke ground on Monday, Dec. 15, 2014. Completion of construction is expected in 2017.
