7 April 2017 – Global integrated infrastructure services firm AECOM is supporting former championship rally driver Ronnie Foreman as he travels across Ireland and Northern Ireland this week on a charity road trip. AECOM teams in Belfast, Galway, Limerick and Cork welcomed Ronnie as he arrived in the towns and cities on his Rally for Haiti, which aims to increase awareness and support for the people of Haiti in the aftermath of last October’s Hurricane Matthew.

Ronnie is stopping off at a number of civic receptions and public events along the route, meeting companies such as AECOM, which donated money to the cause.

Trevor Leaker, Director – Architecture and Engineering Ireland, AECOM said: “We are thrilled to welcome Ronnie and his team as they travel across the country and support the amazing work they are doing to raise awareness of the terrible impact Hurricane Matthew had on Haiti. The funds raised through this fantastic event will provide on the ground support in Haiti that will help restore the livelihoods of its people.”

Rally for Haiti was organised by Haven Partnership, an Irish non-governmental organisation that is committed to empowering Haitians to build strong and sustainable livelihoods. Haven works in Haiti to facilitate the provision of adequate water and sanitation, training and shelter solutions for its people. Ronnie Foreman is Haven’s Northern Ireland ambassador.

Rally for Haiti is taking place from 3 – 7 April, with Ronnie and his team stopping at different towns and cities along the way.
