Bird’s-eye view for Manhattan park
An office worker connects through downtown Manhattan taking in Liberty Park in New York City, New York.
AECOM’s landscape architects designed the one acre, $50 million park offering Highline-inspired raised views of the World Trade Center grounds, including the 9/11 memorial fountains. Made up of densely-planted plots, long angled benches, and a 336-foot-long “vertical garden,” it’s an elevated oasis from the area’s crowds. The park is a rooftop garden constructed on top of a security screening and staging facility for busses and trucks visiting the World Trade Center.
