Rachel joined AECOM June 2021 as the Head of ED&I, Europe & India. She has developed an ambitious ED&I strategy, delivery plan and governance structure to make sure the region delivers on its aims and vision for change, partnering closely with the Executive and Employee Resource Groups Prior to this, Rachel spent sixteen years in policing in a variety of strategic police staff roles and was D&I Lead at the Metropolitan Police Service where she delivered initiatives with impact including the Women Returners Programme and MetBaby parenting programme. She also reengineered the workplace adjustments process and introduced adjustment and carer’s passports to support disability inclusion. Rachel is well regarded as an ED&I specialist and has just delivered the keynote speech at the CIPD D&I conference in November 2021. She was shortlisted as HR Champion at the 2019 European Diversity Awards as well as other successes including the HR Excellence award and was highly commended at the CIPD People Management Awards whilst at Surrey Police. She is looking forward to continuing with this success at AECOM. However, Rachel’s most important job is mum to son Zachary and daughter Mia and very importantly Lottie the Cavapoo.
