Kirsten Watson is Vice President, Government Relations & Transit Market Sector Lead in Canada at AECOM, the world’s trusted infrastructure consulting firm, delivering professional services throughout the project lifecycle — from advisory, planning, design and engineering to program and construction management.
In her government relations role, Ms. Watson works to increase AECOM’s profile in Canada with our government partners and clients. As Transit Market Sector Lead, she leads growth and client relationships within the transit market in the Canada region. She provides advisory services to clients on issues of transit planning, customer service, operations and maintenance, and the operational readiness for new transit services. Ms. Watson also supports AECOM’s growth agenda in the global transit market.
Prior to joining AECOM in 2022, Ms. Watson was the Deputy CEO of the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC), Canada’s largest public transit system. She is an experienced transit executive who brings the owner and operator perspective to large capital projects, fleet and facility transformation, operations and maintenance programs and asset management.
