AECOM has been serving Malaysia and beyond for over four decades, we have been working to create opportunities for everyone, whether it be through physical infrastructure or digital solutions for the many challenges we face.

Powered by our team of almost 400 professionals located in Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru, Penang and Kuching, we leverage our global expertise and local knowledge to build, modernize and expand metro across the globe, delivering tangible benefits for the people and communities they serve.

Our metro expertise runs throughout entire project lifecycles – from feasibility studies to construction supervision. At the same time, we offer best-in-class digital tools and technology to solve our client’s most complex problems such as delivering large-scale infrastructure in heavily built areas, challenging geological conditions, and delivering efficiency, safety, and value-added solutions in multi-stakeholder projects, while also committing to our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) objectives and charting the path for our clients to achieve theirs.

This is reflected in many of our metro projects to date, which are establishing new benchmarks for sustainability, safety and digital innovation across the transportation sector.

For instance, the Klang Valley MRT (KVMRT) – Malaysia’s first-ever mass transit network – is helping alleviate the severe traffic congestion and ageing road systems around Kuala Lumpur. Similarly, the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) is expected to play a crucial role in attracting tourists, trade and investment to the East Coast region.

In Bangkok we are part of the delivery team for the  Purple Line South project. We were also involved in the delivery of other regional Metro projects such as Jakarta LRT, Singapore Downtown Line Phase 2 Extension – C9176 & C9175, Singapore Jurong Regional Line – J111 and Ho Chi Minh City MRT, among others.

Through these projects and more, AECOM is dedicated to building the metro and rail systems of the future and to creating an enduring and sustainable inheritance for generations to come.
