Carl Daniel 

Vice President, Chief Nuclear Engineer 

Carl Daniel is the Canada Nuclear Business Line Lead at AECOM, the world’s trusted infrastructure consulting firm, delivering professional services throughout the project lifecycle — from advisory, planning, design and engineering to program and construction management.

In this role, Mr. Daniel oversees the Canadian Nuclear Center of Excellence in Markham, Ontario where his team of specialists provide innovative, value-add and cost-effective client solutions. Mr. Daniel is a thought leader and an active ESG investor. Mr. Daniel applies his expertise and knowledge to lead teams that provide a sustainable contribution through AECOM’s Sustainable Legacies strategy to the nuclear supply chain in Canada.  

His credentials are complemented by leadership roles in management, technical project oversight and is he is acutely knowledgeable of nuclear codes and standards, as well as nuclear operations safety culture, design guidelines, and security regulations. 

Mr. Daniel has a wealth of nuclear power plant operations experience. Prior to joining AECOM in 2018 he was Vice President Engineering and Chief Nuclear Engineer at RCM Technologies, and Director Design Engineering, Director of Engineering at Ontario Power Generation. Mr. Daniel currently sits on three committees for the Canadian Standards Association.
